Praised for her “agile and enticing” voice and dynamic stage presence, mezzo-soprano Rae Shrum maintains an active performance career. Performance credits include work with Pacific Opera Project, Lyric Opera of Orange County, Opera San Luis Obispo, Long Beach Symphony, Pacific Symphony, and the Long Beach Camerata Singers, among others. 

A passionate collaborator in new music, she serves as Executive Director for Source/Filter Music and has also performed with Overtone Industries. In 2026, she was selected as an Artistic Fellow for the N.E.O. Voice Festival in LA. She also loves choral music and is an active member of Los Angeles/Seoul-based Adoro Ensemble and the Voices of Terpsichor. 

Offstage, Rae is Co-Founder of NorthStar Studios LA, a boutique marketing agency, and maintains a small roster of voice and piano students, and is the Director of Early Childhood Music at South Pasadena Arts & Music Academy
